SHRIDHAR SHUKLA (MANAGING DIRECTOR)

Shridhar has 20+ years of experience in building technology product and services businesses from scratch around innovative technologies. He has served as a Founder, MD of GS Lab and was a Director and COO of Persistent Systems. Shridhar acquired his passion for training and education in his first job as an Assistant Professor at the US Naval Postgraduate School, California teaching and advising graduate students in internet technologies. Shridhar is an IIT Bombay B. Tech. EE and holds a North Carolina State Ph. D. He is a Distinguished Service Award recipient from IIT Bombay.

SUNIL GAITONDE(CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER)

Sunil, based in Chicago, brings years of entrepreneurial experience to kPoint. kPoint was incubated at GS Lab, which Sunil co-founded as a technology lab. Prior to kPoint and GS Lab, as Sarvega’s founding CEO, Sunil rapidly grew it through the tough times of 2000-04. Prior to Sarvega, he conceived and grew Web Infrastructure products at Cisco to $150M+ annually and advised on several acquisitions. He joined Cisco as a result of Cisco’s 6th acquisition, Internet Junction, of which Sunil was a co-Founder. He is an IIT Kharagpur B. Tech. EE and holds an Iowa State Ph. D. in computer networking.

AVIJIT SEMAZUMDER (CHIEF PRODUCT ARCHITECT)

Avijit has been building large scale distributed systems for last 17 years with deep focus in streaming multimedia over public internet. At internet startup CallWave Inc, he developed a carrier class soft-switch to deliver widely used internet telephony applications for millions of consumers. In his recent tenure at kPoint, he has architect-ed the media backbone for rapid video creation and delivery using Amazon AWS. He is also creator of skreen.me – a programmable screen sharing service geared towards mobiles and tablets. Avijit has a B. Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from NIT Warangal and M. S. in Computer Science from UC, Santa Barbara.

MANISH SAPARIYA (VICE PRESIDENT, TECHNICAL OPERATIONS)

Manish has been building large scale distributed network infrastructure products for the last 15 years. At Zensar Technologies, he developed a suite of stripped-down light-weight IP-routing protocols for a carrier-grade routing product. Subsequently, he built a DevOps team for a distributed data leak protection product at GS Lab. Manish is a founding engineer at kPoint and is responsible for all technical operations including product QA, releases, cloud operations, product support, and product analytics on kPoint’s public as well as private cloud installations. Manish is a passionate testing evangelist and a hands-on leader and community developer. He has a B. S. in Computer Science from Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune, India.

Suhas has recently joined the Board of advisors at kPoint . He brings a rich blend of experience in Software and Manufacturing sectors. After more than 12 years of business development work in India, Asia Pacific and USA, Suhas set up the Indian operations for Triple Point Technology – a CTRM software products company. The company grew to 150 people team with customer base in India, Middle East and South East Asia under his leadership. In 2006 he joined the German Engineering major Demag, as MD to establish their Indian subsidiary. Here, he was responsible for business growth from 5 to 50 million US$ in 6 years. Later as CEO of Pennar Industries, he helped the 250 M US$ steel products company formulate its diversification strategy. He is an engineer from VNIT Nagpur with management training from IIM Ahmedabad.

ATUL NARKHEDE

(Atul guides kPoint on technology, scalability and performance.)

At GS Lab, Atul is responsible for creating technology assets that help customers achieve their goals efficiently. Prior to GS Lab, as the Fellow at Strand Genomics, Atul architected and delivered flagship products for mining and visualization of large scale scientific data. Prior to Strand, Atul worked as the Chief Architect at Tessera Systems where he developed infrastructure products with distributed web services. While at Silicon Graphics, California, Atul designed and developed core geometry software and microcode for the high-end SGI graphics hardware. Atul is an IIT Bombay B. Tech. CS and a University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) M. S. in computer graphics.
